Die Flasche wurde im Laufe der Jahre modernisiert, sie zeigt aber immer auf dem Etikett die beiden bekannten Hunde: einen West Highland White und einen Scottish Terrier. Beide werben bereits seit 1890 für das Unternehmen. Buchanan's Blending- und Abfüllbetrieb in Stepps in der Nähe von Glasgow wurde 1969 eröffnet, er ist einer der größten und modernsten Betriebe der Scotch-Whisky-Industrie. Die 13 Abfüllstraßen, die von über 500 Arbeitern bedient werden, können pro Stunde 42 000 Flaschen füllen. Etwa 85 Prozent der Produktion sind für den Export bestimmt.
